* Belief SysTem *
In this article, I am going to share with you a Motivational Story on belief system that helps you understand why it is so essential to take control of what we think and what believe we create in our understand why it is so essential to take control of what we think and what believe we create in our mind. This motivational story is about the elephants who created wrong believes in their mind and how they suffer from it.
Belief System..
The story starts with a man passing by some elephants. He suddenly stops by seeing that a group of big elephants are tied with a loose rope and they are making no attempt to break it and run away.
The man was amazed and confused, meanwhile, he saw a trainer of these elephants and went to him. The man asked the trainer about why the elephants are not making any attempt to break the rope and run away? The trainer replied, “when they were very young and small, we used to tie them with the same size of rope they are now tied with, at that time the rope was enough to hold them. They tried many times to break the rope but they failed again and again and they got conditioned to believe that they cannot break the rope and be free.”
“Even now when they have grown up, they still believe that the rope can hold them so that’s the reason they aren’t making any attempt to break the rope.”
Lesson :-
Like the elephants, most of us go through life believing that we can’t do many things in life. After trying a few times, when we fail continuously we start putting limitation on our ability and strength and soon we give up on our goals.
Isn’t it true that they are just our own created beliefs that are stopping us? Aren’t we stopping ourselves? Knowingly or unknowingly we all have created such kind of negative beliefs in our mind. But we must remember that we fail not because we are failures but because we make mistakes. Mistakes are our teachers, instead of taking it negatively we must learn from it.
We should learn from our mistakes and try not to repeat them again. So next time when you fail, remember to learn from it instead of limiting yourself with wrong beliefs and giving up on your goals.Mistakes are our guidelines, they teach us, where we are weak at and where we should improve. Just because you make mistakes doesn’t mean you fail. Actual failure is when you give up.
“Failure is not when we fail, but failure is when we fail to continue on the path.” So next time when you fail, don’t create wrong beliefs instead learn from the mistakes you made and improve them.
